Guy Raz To Speak At USC Annenberg James L. Loper Lecture

On May 6, USC Annenberg will welcome Guy Raz, the host of NPR’s TED Radio Hour, which aims to explore new ideas and inventions that can change the world. Raz was selected as the speaker for USC Annenberg’s 2014 James L. Loper Lecture in Public Service Broadcasting, which honors the late James L. Loper, a pioneer in public broadcasting.

The event will take place at the Four Seasons in Beverly Hills at 6:30 p.m. Earlier in the day, Raz will also speak to USC Annenberg students about his work at NPR, as well as other interests at the “Pizza Party Study Break.” It will be held in room 207 at USC Annenberg at 2:00 p.m.

Raz has been working at NPR since 1997 and has been the host of TED Radio Hour since its launch in March 2013. The show, which is a co-production of NPR and nonprofit organization TED, has since become the fastest growing program in the history of public radio.
