Developing intercultural competencies: ‘Brit(ish)’ by Afua Hirsch book club

Develop intercultural communication and competency skills with the USC Annenberg International Programs team through a book club on Afua Hirsch’s book, Brit(ish).

Afua Hirsch is the Wallis Annenberg Chair of Journalism, lecturer of the USC Annenberg London program, and visiting professor. She published Brit(ish) in 2018 and it has been a Sunday Times bestseller in the UK, and described by The Guardian as “a powerful hybrid of memoir, reportage and commentary.”

Please come prepared having read the book and to engage with concepts such as multiculturalism, anti-racism, and community.
