She is the consummate PR generalist who is able to quickly pivot from strategy to creative on any given assignment whether it be creating a brand new publication or overseeing a 2,000-person event. She spent 27 years honing her skills in both corporate and agency environments, where she worked with some of the world’s leading brands as well as local and state government organizations.

Starting as an adjunct instructor for a content development course, she joined the full-time faculty in 1998 when she helped launch the re-imagined graduate curriculum. She has honed her leadership skills throughout her career, having served on the executive board of IABC, as 3-time past president of Hermosa Beach Rotary (which she led to the prestigious Rotary Club of Excellence designation in 2013), and on countless USC Annenberg committees including graduate admissions, thesis advisement and faculty governance.

Floto prides herself on teaching students to be superb writers, researchers and original thinkers.
