Ritesh Mehta is interested in the ethnographic study of the production worlds of film and television. He is especially curious about the communicative, cognitive, and creative processes involved when filmmakers work together to make movies and TV shows. More generally, he is interested in how people empower and eventually influence cultural texts and paratexts, and in interpretations of culture as a semiotic-phenomenological text. Ritesh has a Masters in philosophy from the University of Missouri-St Louis, and a Bachelors in marketing and management from the University of Pennsylvania.
