USC Annenberg at the Democratic Convention: Politics & the Media - Bridging the Political Divide in the 2012 Election

The USC Annenberg Center on Communication Leadership & Policy, in partnership with Bloomberg and the Harvard University Institute of Politics, presents a conversation and research presentation at the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, North Carolina. Washington Post executive editor Marcus Brauchli, New York Times Magazine chief political correspondent Matt Bai, Obama for America press secretary Ben LaBolt, and YouTube’s news manager Olivia Ma join the conversation moderated by Al Hunt, executive Washington editor for Bloomberg News and Geoffrey Cowan, CCLP director. The program includes a presentation by USC Unruh Institute director Dan Schnur on results from a new USC Annenberg-Los Angeles Times survey on the public’s views about media coverage of the 2012 election and its impact on the state of political discourse. Reception follows discussion.
