Social Media Week: How Geolocation Technology is Changing the World

Join the USC Annenberg Innovation Lab, MomentFeed, Social Media Week L.A. and Think LA for the panel “How Geolocation Technology is Changing the World” at Social Media Week LA. Journalism professor Robert Suro, communication professor Jonathan Taplin and USC computer science professor Cyrus Shahabi will present iCampus.USC, a first-of-its-kind immersive geospatial social networking portal for the USC community. This includes a 3D high-quality rendering of USC campus and its neighborhood. This highly engaging event will explore where geolocation technologies are taking us, both literally and figuratively, as a society. Panelists include: Matt Galligan, CEO and co-founder of SimpleGeo; Akash Agarwal, SVP business and corporate development, Location Labs; and Kyle Brinkman, co-founder and CEO of CitySourced.
