Join faculty and students for a discussion with
Dr. Irving Wladawsky-Berger, Annenberg Innovator in Residence,
Patricia Riley, communication professor, and others. This discussion will focus on the challenges and opportunities posed by the rapidly changing economic and technological environment for large organizations, whether private-sector, not-for-profit, or government. As the head of IBM's Internet strategy during the mid-nineties, Dr. Wladawsky-Berger led the effort to transform a company that was dominant in an old, fading pre-Internet world into one that could compete in the burgeoning new one. He served as co-chair of the President’s Information Technology Advisory Committee from 1997 to 2001 and was a founding member of the Computer Sciences and Telecommunications Board of the National Research Council in 1986. He is a senior fellow at the Levin Institute of the State University of New York, a visiting lecturer at MIT's Sloan School of Management and Engineering Systems Division, and adjunct professor in the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Group at the Imperial College Business School.
