Join journalism professor Bill Celis and Willa Seidenberg, director of Annenberg Radio News for the launch of USC Annenberg's new community news web site, Intersections: The South Los Angeles Reporting Project. The site provides multimedia news packages about education, business, homelessness, churches and other news that makes South L.A. a rich and varied collection of cities and neighborhoods. South L.A. residents, high school students, and USC journalism students contribute to the web site, winner of a 2009 Knight Foundation grant from J-Lab: The Institute for Interactive Journalism. Intersections Annenberg partners include the Metamorphosis Project and Mobile Voices, a mobile delivery platform serving immigrants and working class Angelenos. Refreshments will be served.
