The Los Angeles Times and Hoy Newspaper present a reception and panel discussion honoring journalist Ruben Salazar’s postage stamp unveiling. Salazar is one of five journalists being honored in this
collection from the United States Postal Service. Journalism professor
Felix Gutierrez takes part in a panel discussion that includes Olga Briseno, director of the media,
Democracy and Policy Initiative at the University of Arizona;
Maelia Macin, vice president and general manager, Univision Television; and Julio Moran, executive director,
CCMNA: Latino Journalist of California and Annenberg journalism adjunct professor. Speakers include
Antonio Villaraigosa, Mayor of Los Angeles and
