Award-winning science reporter and author K.C. Cole will lead a stimulating discussion with actor Alan Alda, host of the PBS series Scientific American Frontiers. Alda is a five-time Emmy Award–winning actor, writer and director and a life-long science buff. Cole has been a science writer and columnist for the Los Angeles Times and has written for the New York Times, the New Yorker, the Smithsonian, Discover, Newsweek, Newsday, Esquire, Ms. and People. Her books include Mind Over Matter: Conversations with the Cosmos, The Hole in the Universe: How Scientists Peered Over the Edge of Emptiness and Found Everything and The Universe and the Teacup: The Mathematics of Truth and Beauty.
