Annenberg Studies on Computer Games project presents a two-day workshop on non-entertainment uses for gaming. From the organizers: "There have been many new developments in the gaming industry in recent years. A new field of serious games has emerged as designers and developers use gaming for non-entertainment purposes such as education, healthcare, policy-making, and corporate management. Over 30 scholars and industry advocates of serious games from North America and Europe have been invited to this workshop. The program for this workshop has been intentionally designed to encourage dialogues among researchers and practitioners from diverse backgrounds." Demonstrations of serious games developed by the USC teams will also be presented. For more information or to register click
