Exhibit & Screening: Strange New World: Art and Design from Tijuana
Santa Monica Museum of Art. 2525 Michigan Avenue, Santa Monica, 7:00 p.m.

Join communication professor Josh Kun for a screening of Maquilapolis: City of Factories. This documentary "goes inside the world of Tijuana's maquiladora assembly plants by putting the cameras in the hands of the factories' women workers. Part visual activism and part portrait of unequal globalization, Maquilapolis unravels the myths, lies, and romances of free trade." Prof. Kun will lead a post-screening discussion with the filmmakers. This screening is part of the exhibit Strange New World: Art and Design from Tijuana at the Santa Monica Museum of Art. Prof. Kun has organized all programming in conjunction with the exhibit, which runs through April 7.
