Directed by communication professor Margaret McLaughlin and sponsored by the Integrated Media Systems Center at the USC Viterbi School of Engineering, the Haptics Lab develops the science of integrating our sense of touch into human/computer interactions. By working with researchers from the Keck School of Medicine of USC, McLaughlin and her colleagues are finding new ways to help stroke patients regain skills they lost as a result of their illness.
