Eugene Lee is a Ph.D. candidate at USC Annenberg, specializing in AI and technology, algorithmic management, organization-stakeholder relationships, and social networks. Her recent work focuses on how the use of AI influences group dynamics and the well-being of gig workers. One of her recent projects examined knowledge sharing among contract workers in online communities and how organizations exert control over contract workers through algorithmic management. Her work has appeared in peer-reviewed journals such as Mass Communication and Society, Social Science Computer Review, Public Relations Review, and Journal of Marketing Communications.

Eugene graduated summa cum laude from Ewha Womans University with a BA in Sociology and Television and Film, and an MA in Communication and Media. She furthered her studies at the University of Minnesota, earning a Master's in Journalism and Mass Communication.

Prior to joining the program, she worked as a researcher at Korea Press Foundation and Korea Communications Commission and has worked at Cheil Worldwide INC, a Korean advertising firm, and Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation.
