Essence Lynn Wilson is a digital health equity scholar interested in combatting health disparities in communities of youth of color. Meeting for this call, she aims to utilize community based participatory research to develop digital health interventions, employing an egalitarian approach in all research stages, including development, testing, and implementation processes. While numerous digital modalities aid in conveying critical health information, she is particularly drawn to the potential of animation as a transformative tool to express or enhance intervention infrastructure. This medium has historically and effectively reached and engaged diverse audiences since its conception, deserving great attention in health research. She is a proud alumni of the Girl Scouts.
